IPS requires the following:
• Maintenance Manager
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and reliable individual with management experience to join our fast-expanding Maintenance & Support Services Department. The right person must have a keen interest in computing and technology, able to work under pressure and the ability to deal with clients at all levels.
Importantly, the ideal candidate will also be able to work autonomously to develop and expand the department.
Reporting directly to the Senior Technical Manager, duties will include:
- Remote and on-site management of communications equipment predominantly installed at London Underground and Network Rail Stations, but also at Local Government Offices. Systems supported include:
- 2003 Servers and XP Desktops
- Cisco Networks
- Analogue & Digital CCTV
- Public Address
- Passenger Help Points
- Customer Information Systems
- Customer Management Systems
- End user support on all systems, including in-house IT management;
- Fault finding and system administration;
- Maintain system configuration for customers;
- Contract and fault administration;
- Attending client meetings and liaising with site staff;
- Some occasional night work.
Skills required:
- Experience pricing jobs and assisting with tenders;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP & Vista (Windows 2003 Server configuration advantageous);
- TCP/IP networks, routers, switches, VPN;
- Microsoft Office Suite;
- Excellent technical documentation and interpersonal skills;
- Electronics & communications qualification preferable;
- System installation and maintenance experience;
- Clean driving licence preferable;
- Rail industry experience advantageous.
