IPS requires the following:
• Electrical Tester (qualified to C&G 2391 Level)
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and reliable individual. You will need to possess good communication and organisation skills and have the potential for advancement.
Reporting directly to Project Engineers, the job role will include:
- Overseeing and assisting with electrical installations;
- Working in the railway environment, shifts can be days or nights and overtime is sometimes required at the weekends;
- Working within the M25 (predominantly on the rail network);
- Install conduit, trunking, tray and cable management systems, complete with all support brackets to a high standard;
- Install data, small and mains power cables and associated switch or control gear;
- To terminate cables and install associated equipment to a high standard;
- To carry out inspection, testing and commissioning of electronic, electrical and mechanical equipment;
- To ensure that all Installation works under their control are carried out to a quality standard.
Skills required:
- Qualified to City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 Electrical Installation;
- Qualified to City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Inspection, Testing and Certification Level;
- NICEIC testing/certificate experience advantageous;
- A clean driving licence is preferable;
- PC literacy;
- Previous experience in all aspects of Electrical installations;
- Experience working on various communications systems such as PA, CCTV would be advantageous but not essential;
- System installation and maintenance experience;
- Rail industry experience advantageous.
