WASTE MANAGEMENT
IPS has signed a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with broker C&M South East Ltd to control its industrial/commercial waste after successfully navigating their supplier approval process.
Full time Stores, Quality and HS&E Managers monitor the performance for its continued suitability, during the period of the SLA, by checking any C&M sub contractor's waste carrier licenses for their currency and validated for their waste types.
Waste Transfer Notes (WTN) and Registers are collected and recorded centrally on the company Intranet for quick access if required.
To close the loop Waste Receiving Sites stated on the WTN are checked for their licensing credentials and waste types.
IPS is totally committed to its duty of care under our LRQA ISO 14001:2004 certification.
LOW COST CRT REPLACEMENT
Due to the economic climate and customer demand we have launched a low cost TFT display to replace the thousands of CRT monitors already installed at railway stations and tourist attractions. The existing Bailey housing and bracketry remain in situ whilst the new displays are installed - keeping costs down and reducing the environmental impact of installing a brand new enclosure. Although the CRT monitors are now virtually obsolete the Bailey housings are so hard wearing and rust free (manufactured using Glass Reinforced Plastic) that only the display needs replacing.

ISO 9001:2008
IPS successfully completed the LRQA Certificate Renewal audit in June 2009. The Auditor looked at a number of areas of the business including; customer feedback, supplier control, goods received and design. We are now certificated to the new Quality standard ISO 9001:2008 for a further three years. Our certification is overseen by our full-time Quality Manager Greg England.
