Client: Network Rail
East Croydon station was granted a £20 million redevelopment programme by Network Rail to re design the station facilities in order to improve congestion and access to the station.
The development included a new footbridge which provided step free access to all six of the station platforms, and offered a walkway to the new developments on Dingwall Road. IPS staff were contracted to supply the electrical and communications works. This involved installing power and communication systems to the new outlets located on the bridge. Also the positioning and activating of passenger information systems, including Public Address, CCTV and Next Train information displays and new lighting fitted both under and inside the structure.
